The department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is concerned with the teaching of both the care of female reproductive organs’ health and the management of pregnancy to the Final year MBBS students. It is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth,and the postpartum period) and gynaecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). The Ob-gyn department in the hospital will provide OPD services, delivery facilities for both normal and caesarean section and family planning services.
