The Department of Pathology is concerned with teaching second MBBS students about the structural abnormalities produced by disease. Pathology is the branch of medicinal science which is primarily concerned with the cause, origin and the nature of disease. Students are trained in the study and diagnosis of disease through the examination of surgically removed organs, tissues (biopsy samples), bodily fluids (like blood, urine, semen, etc.), and in some cases the whole body (autopsy).
